Remember that in order for your task progress to register, you first need to open the newspaper screen to view your cases.
Also, some cases might seem a bit too hard to you, or you might prefer to see which others come afterwards. For this you can tap on the red refresh icon in the top-right corner of each task. You can only skip one task per 24 hours. Skipping one task will not skip the other two, so choose wisely!
Finally, here’s a guide to help in solving each type of case:
- Play Hidden Object Scenes
- Get PERFECTs in Hidden Object Scenes
- Gift Bushes to your Friends
- Open Star Boxes
- Open 5-Star Boxes
- Pass Jack Hayes on the Leaderboard
- Beat your Own Score in Hidden Object Scenes
- Play Hidden Object Scenes with the Energy Discount Activated
With that, the Energy discount will be activated, and you’ll be able to play scenes for 10 Energy instead of 15. The Hidden Object Scenes you play while that discount is running will count toward the progress of the task.
- Find Objects in Hidden Object Scenes
The only thing you need to take into account is that, for all the objects you find to be counted as task progression, you need to finish playing the scene.
- Find CLUES in Hidden Object Scenes
- Collect Coins from the ESTATE
Every now and then, a Coin icon appears on top of it. Tap on it to collect the Coins, and keep on going back to it until you get the amount required by the task.
- Earn Coins from Playing Hidden Object Scenes
- Spend Coins on Seasonal Sets
Once again, remember that to get your progress tracked for the task, you will need to get the task on the newspaper first.
- Earn Materials
- Level Up!
- Travel to a New Chapter
- Collect Character Cards
- Find Compasses
- Complete Renovations for the Landmark
When you’re working on this task, take into account that one renovation is completed when one of the bars in the blueprint panel gets filled.
- Serve or drink drinks in the Café
- Collect Tips in the Café
- Use materials
- Find Memoirs pack(s)
To complete this case, you need to either earn or purchase one or more Memoirs packs depending on the case requirement. You can collect packs by earning them from Hidden Object Scenes or time-limited events, or by purchasing them from the Pack Shop or Special Offers.
Keep in mind that only the packs earned or purchased after the Help Wanted case became active count toward completing the case.
This case will appear once you have unlocked Memoirs in your game.
- Open Memoirs pack(s)
To complete this case, you have to open as many Memoirs packs as the case at hand requires.
You can access your pack inventory by tapping the pack icon in the lower-right corner of your Memoirs album screen.
This case will appear once you have unlocked Memoirs in your game.
- Spend Déjà Vu Tokens in the Memoirs Shop
To complete the case, you need to make a purchase in the Memoirs Déjà Vu Shop using a specific amount of Déjà Vu tokens.
You can do one or more purchases in the Déjà Vu shop to complete the case. E.g if the case requirement is to ‘Spend 20 Déjà Vu tokens” as long as the final total comes to 20 Déjà vu tokens or more, the case will be completed.
You can access the Déjà Vu Shop by tapping the shopping bag icon on your pack screen.
This case will appear once you have unlocked Memoirs.
What are time-limited cases?
If you’re up for the task, these cases offer you an extra challenge to show everyone who’s the most skilled Detective on Orchid Island! And as a cherry on top, the more effort you put into solving a case, the better rewards you can earn.
Time-limited cases are cases that you have to complete within a certain time limit, and they can be linked to other wonderful June’s Journey features, like Memoirs.
How do I know how long I have to complete the case?
The timer in the case card will tell you how much time you have left to complete the case.
Image text: For time-limited cases, check the timer to see how much time you have left to complete the case. Regular Help Wanted cases have no timer.
What happens if I fail to complete a time-limited case on time?
If you’re unable to complete the time-limited case on time, it will expire, and you can move on to the next case.
- If you complete 100% of the case, you will receive the same reward as a regular Help Wanted case.
- If you made significant progress (more than 50% at least), you will earn a consolation reward.
- If you didn’t make enough progress before the time’s up, you will not receive a reward, and you can move on to the next case for free.
Can I skip time-limited cases?
Yes. Skipping time-limited cases works exactly the same way as skipping any regular Help Wanted cases.
It works just like regular Help Wanted tasks, but now you can solve cases and progress to the prize faster! However, not all cases will give bonus tokens.
Extra Edition isn’t always available, so be sure to keep an eye on our Facebook pages and newsletters for information on when it’s coming up.
