Detective, your next case is a fragrant affair! The Perfume Parlor has opened its doors, and it's no ordinary investigation. This time, you're stepping into the shoes of an expert perfumer, sniffing out the secret formulas behind some of the most luxurious scents in town.
Each perfume is a puzzle, and it's up to you to uncover the perfect blend. Try out different scent combinations, check the records from past attempts, and figure out which mix is just right. But be careful, you have only a few chances to get it right!
Nail the formula, and you'll move closer to unlocking fabulous rewards and, ultimately, the coveted Grand Prize.
How do I access Perfume Parlor?
When the Perfume Parlor event is available, you'll notice a distinctive icon on your island screen, alongside other events such as Fairground Fortune and Sweep the Board.
How do I play Perfume Parlor?
In Perfume Parlor, your goal is to uncover the correct combination of scents to craft a luxurious perfume.
Each round presents a hidden formula composed of Essences that you must deduce through a series of attempts. To make an attempt, you select Essences and place them into an empty spot on the tray. Each placement costs one Aroma Drop.
Once the tray is filled, you confirm your attempt and receive feedback:
Yellow arrows mean the Essence is correct but in the wrong spot
Red crosses show that the Essence is not part of the formula
Use this feedback in the records of your past attempts to refine your next attempt.
Successfully completing a perfume advances your progress in the event and brings you closer to milestone rewards and the Grand Prize.
Can I remove an Essence after placing it?
Yes, you can! If you change your mind about an Essence you've placed, simply tap on the Essence again to remove it from the tray. When you do this, any Aroma Drops you spent on that placement will return to you immediately. This allows you to experiment with different combinations without penalty--as long as you haven't confirmed your attempt yet. Once you do that, the Aroma Drops for that attempt are used up, so make sure you're happy with your combination of Essences before confirming it.
Why don't I see enough Essences to fill the tray?
If it looks like you don't have enough unique Essences to complete your attempt, don't worry!
Essences can appear more than once in the same formula, which means the correct formula might include duplicates of one or more Essences. For example, you might have only three Essences to choose from, but five slots in the tray. The secret formula you are looking for might consist of three blue Essences and two red ones. It could also be five times just one Essence!
So, when making your attempt, you're allowed to use the same Essence multiple times. Looking at the records of past attempts will help you figure out how many of each Essence you need and where they belong. Keep experimenting and pay close attention to the feedback after each guess--it's your key to discovering the perfect blend.
What are Aroma Drops and how do I get them?
Aroma Drops are the special event currency used in Perfume Parlor. You'll need them to place Essences on the tray as you try to discover a perfume's secret formula, and each Essence you place requires one Aroma Drop. You can collect Aroma Drops by playing Hidden Object Scenes during the event.
What happens if I run out of attempts?
If you run out of attempts before discovering the correct formula, you'll be able to purchase additional attempts and Aroma Drops using Diamonds.
Keep in mind that if you decline and choose to begin again, you start from scratch making a different perfume with a different secret formula.
Will I lose my perfume progress if I leave Perfume Parlor to get more Aroma Drops?
No, your progress is always saved. If you run out of Aroma Drops while crafting a perfume, you can safely leave Perfume Parlor to earn more of them by playing Hidden Object Scenes.
When you return, you'll pick up exactly where you left off--your current perfume, any Essences you already placed, and your scent record will all be preserved. This allows you to play at your own pace, without the risk of losing your progress.
How does progression work in Perfume Parlor?
Perfume Parlor challenges you to craft a series of perfumes successfully. Every time you successfully complete a perfume by discovering the correct formula, you move one step forward on the event's progression track.
As you advance, the perfume making process may become more and more complex. You may need to discover multiple formulas in a row to make up one perfume before you can move forward!
Can I lose progress if I fail to find the secret formula?
No, you won't lose any progress if you don't discover the formula. While this means you won't move forward on the event progression, it doesn't take away any progress you've already made. You can try to make more perfume again as many times as you like until the event ends.
Remember, in Perfume Parlor, you progress only when you successfully complete a perfume by discovering the full perfume formula. If you run out of attempts and haven't found the formula, you can either choose to restart the perfume or use Diamonds to continue from where you left off.
What happens when the event ends?
When the event timer reaches zero, the Perfume Parlor event ends. If you have leftover Aroma Drops, you can still use them to place Essences on the tray and make an attempt to find the secret formula.
Why can't I see Perfume Parlor?
If Perfume Parlor hasn't appeared in your game yet, it's because we're still putting the finishing touches on this feature, ensuring it's a polished and thrilling experience for everyone.
