In certain levels, you will encounter obstacles that make it more challenging for you to reach your goals. Obstacles encourage you to strategize how to overcome them and beat the level! Check out the following list of obstacles and how to get around them.

Bubbles:

Some gems will be encased in a soapy Bubble, which prevents you from swapping them; however, they can still fall down. Match the gem encased in the Bubble to pop it! The bubble will disappear, but the gem inside will remain.

Chains:

Some gems will be held down by Chains that prevent you from moving or swapping the gems. You need to make a match with the chained gem to remove a Chain. Some gems have multiple Chains, which requires even more matches to free the gem.

Clouds:

These fluffy Clouds cover up tiles and fall just like gems, but they cannot be swapped or matched. Make matches adjacent to Clouds to remove them. Some Clouds require more matches than others!

Gem Crystals:

Sometimes you will find these valuable clusters of gems. Match them to break them apart and spread their gems all over the board!

Locks and keys:

Move any key to land next to a Lock to unlock it. Open all Locks to free any birds from their Cages!

Magic Boxes:

Some tiles will be covered up by a Magic Box that won’t move and could block gems from falling down. Make matches adjacent to these Magic Boxes to remove them. Some Magic Boxes require more matches than others!

Magic Bridges:

Mind the gap! Magic Bridges can occupy a space between two tiles on a board. These Magic Bridges instantly transport anything that falls through them from one tile to the next!

Portals:
Down the rabbit hole we go! Anything that falls into one of these tricky obstacles will come out of its counterpart portal! Keep an eye out for where a portal leads—it could be anywhere on the board.

Runestones:

You might encounter Runestones in certain levels. These tough obstacles block tiles and can fall down. Ordinary matches won’t be enough to break them, though! Only Special Gems that hit the Runestone can get rid of it!

Webs:

What a sticky situation! Webs cover multiple adjacent tiles and prevent anything inside from moving. You need to make matches next to each tile caught in a Web to bring the whole thing down!

Warding Hand:

Beware the Warding Hand! You can easily destroy Warding Hands if you match adjacent to them, but they will stop any blast from special gems or combinations thereof from traveling past them. Still, you can swap them while making a match, so use that to your advantage!
