If you're using an Apple device with the system iOS 14.5 and up, you will encounter the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) feature. It allows you to decide if you want to share your 'Identifier for Advertisers' (IDFA).

What does that mean for Wooga games?

We offer our players the option of playing our games with friends and across devices and platforms. To continue to offer these options in full, we would need to request your consent to access your IDFA number.

Therefore you will see a new pop-up in our games requesting this. It looks like this…

What is the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA)?

The Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) is a random device identifier assigned by Apple to your device. The IDFA is used for tracking and identifying a user without using clear data such as an e-mail address or name.

If I decide not to share my IDFA, what impact will this have?

If you decide not to accept the new settings, everything is fine! You can continue to play our games. You can even continue to play them across devices with a Facebook login.
However, we will not be able to provide you with some exciting features, such as:
  • Social features
  • The ability to show you custom-tailored ads uniquely selected for you

If I decide to share my IDFA, does this mean we will have access to additional personal data?

No. The IDFA is used for tracking and identifying your device without using your clear data such as e-mail address or name. We have always been using your IDFA to give you some of your favorite features, the only difference is that now we will need your permission to continue doing this.

I changed my mind and I would like to share my Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), how can I change my preferences?

You can always change your sharing preference at all times by modifying the preferences for our game on the Privacy tab inside the settings on your device.

In order to change your settings please follow the followings steps:

Settings -> Privacy -> Tracking and check settings for “Allow Apps to Request to Track."

Alternatively, if you have already denied consent on the pop-up, you can also enable tracking via the “Allow Tracking” option in the June’s Journey app settings.
