What is Pause Club Competition?

Do you need a quick break, or did something urgent come up during a club competition? Take control with Pause Club Competition!

This functionality allows you to pause and unpause your personal playtime during club competitions. It lets you pace your playtime to suit your needs, and participate in club competitions at your convenience. Just be sure to come back before the competition timer runs out!

How do I pause my club competition?
Once you begin your playtime, you can pause your personal play timer using the pause icon. When activated, your playtime for the competition will be paused, allowing you to resume exactly where you left off by unpausing.

While paused, the playtime counter on the island screen will be replaced by the competition timer. This timer displays the remaining time in the competition, helping you determine the best moment to unpause.

How long can I keep my competition paused?

Your personal play timer for the club competition will remain paused until you unpause it, or until the event's remaining time is equal to or less than your remaining playtime on the ticket.

You can see how much playtime you have left on the competition card on the club competition screen.

What happens when the competition timer matches my remaining playtime? 

If the remaining time on the competition timer is equal to or less than your paused playtime, your timer will automatically unpause.

Additionally, the pause icon will be disabled if your remaining playtime is equal to or less than the remaining competition time.

For example, if your playtime is paused with 10 minutes left, it will automatically unpause once there are fewer than 10 minutes remaining in the competition.

Additionally, if the competition playtime is less than the playtime on your timer, the pause functionality will be disabled, but you can keep playing until the event ends.

How many times can I pause a single competition? 

You can pause your personal playtime as often as you like, provided you meet the necessary Diamond requirements each time, and the competition timer isn't equal to or less than your remaining playtime.

Be sure to strategize when you unpause, as each subsequent pause will require more Diamonds. Don't worry--the Diamond requirement for pausing will reset when the next competition starts.
