Welcome to the Nature Trails Challenge!

Join Mr. Talbot on a thrilling adventure across the Savanna as we follow animal tracks and work together to reach our shared goal: collecting 16 million animal tracks! Throughout this special challenge, you can participate in a series of exciting June’s Journey events to contribute tracks. But the journey doesn’t end there—the final and most impactful step is here: the Trail of Trees offer!

For just 24 hours, you can purchase stunning trees to decorate your June’s Journey islands. Each tree you place not only beautifies your island but also helps gather even more animal tracks towards the common goal. And when we reach our goal, all players who contributed will unlock a special in-game decoration, and June’s Journey will make a real-world difference by protecting 800,000 ft² of wildlife habitat and planting 25,000 real trees.

Let’s plant, play, and protect—together!

What is the Trail of Trees offer?

For 24 hours starting at 08:00 UTC on June 16, 2025 you have the last chance to contribute to the Nature Trails Challenge goal of 16 million “animal tracks” collected by purchasing special tree decorations for your islands. If the goal is met, June's Journey will pledge to support the 800,000 ft² of wildlife habitat protection and plant 25,000 real trees in East Africa. You can choose between three special tree decorations and support by adding 10, 30 or 50 “animal tracks” as referred to in the in-game offer screen.

This effort is made possible by our partnership with Dots.eco, an environmental impact-as-a-service platform. Along their journey, they've enabled the planting of over 1.3 million trees and saved over 790,000 baby sea turtles, among many other impact types. Every participant who participated in at least one Nature Trails Challenge Event and collected at least one “animal track” will be rewarded with a “Curious Onlooker” Decoration. https://www.junesjourney.com/en-nature-trails-challenge-terms.

How do I know if the goal is met?

When we meet our goal of collecting 16 million animal tracks, we will announce it through an in-game mailbox message.

Can I participate in events if the goal has already been met?

Yes, you can! Don't worry if we reach our goal of 16 million animal tracks collected before you're able to take part. We appreciate that some players may still want to show their support for nature after the goal has been met.

You can still play events, get the decorations and place them on your island until the promotion ends.

What areas will be protected and where will the trees be planted?

We partner with Dots.eco, an environmental impact-as-a-service platform that transforms millions of casual actions into real-life environmental impact.

They collaborated with organizations that are working in the East Africa region. The David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation focuses on protecting African wild dogs, pangolins, and other animals in the area. The Uganda Conservation Foundation is dedicated to giraffe and hippo habitat protection. Trees for the Future will select locations where trees are most needed within the region.
